The thing that intrigued me the most, however, about Mike was his constant high energy. I felt somewhat slighted because I was younger than him and felt weaker, more tired and less fit than him. This all changed because Mike took me under his wing and taught me Yoga and the healthy way of living through cleansing, fasting and maintaining a healthy diet. This transition in health and new way of thinking took place while sailing on the Great Lakes. This experience is probably to date the most profound life changing experience I've had. I go so far to say this because I still can't put into words exactly what I gained from all this new beginning. It's almost as if it were some "secret" knowledge gained, but I couldn't translate it properly into words. My attempts in the past to do so, were so far off that doing justice to the body of knowledge I'd gained seemed impossible. I did, however, go on after my sailing experience to practice more of what I'd learned. This led to some pretty interesting experiences that involved some deep cleansing techniques, using fasting, colonics, and much raw food eating with the elimination of many food items like dairy, meats, and fried foods. The elimination of sugar and the foods commonly found with much sugar in them were a benefit I found to have fast results with gaining much more energy and clarity of mind. < back continue > |
